Got my first Rickenbacker (not white 370) & loving it!

Post by sparkledusted »

Hello all--

Been spending quality time with my new 360 which I got a few days ago. Ended up not going with the white 370 I posted on this forum (and got all kinds of useful info regarding) due to fret wear and cost, but got this beauty of a Desert Gold 360 at a swell price.

Total joy to play for the slippery smooth neck and complete quality this instrument exudes...and then I take a break and just gaze at it from all various angles. Somehow know this guitar will help make me a better player.

Here are a few pictures:

Glad to be a member of the Rickenbacker club. Thanks again for all the help on my last posting.

Great finish. Reminds me of my first guitar, a Shoreline Gold Squier Strat.

Congratulations. Very nice, Michael.

Thanks everyone!

It's called Desert Gold. COY for 2001.

The serial number on the jack plate is an 01 so that checks out, and the identical full serial number is written in pen in the cavity. So methinks all is OK.

Actually was looking at first for Blue Boy or the creamy white, but rare, hard to find and lots of $$$.
This color looks much better in person than I had expected.

Sounds so sweet and full unplugged, a great asset. Play on!

Ah, OK, I've seen that, it's just the way the pictures showed up on my screen, it looks like a metallic dark gray, which I'd never seen before. I can see it's gold now that I know.
