up for auciton is a 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 Fretless Bass it is in good working condition. The bass has been altered a bit the pick up's are not original but they sound great the neck pickup is a seymour dunkin and the bridge pick up is a axl. bridge is in great condition but not original. The neck on this bass is strate. the tuners are not original. This is a wonder full working bass. If you want a great vintage peace of history then this bass is for you.

I don't Beauchamp and Rossmeisl etc, can roll/turn over anymore...and sadly I'm sure there are more to come!
To each his/her own et al. It is sickly fun to see them once in a while, makes me appreciate mine even more. I guess we need them for relativity  right?

Well, he does have a "Buy it Now or Best Offer". I like the part where he says, "Thank You and Happy Bidding", I'm not sure this guy understands bidding auctions any better than English or doing work on guitars...

Instead of this being a "vintage 'peace' of history", it's more of a vintage piece of... uh, well, you know...

See, THIS is an appropriate "what's wrong with people" thread, unlike (IMO) the headless Ric mod. Unlike that other bass, this bass has just sort of been haphazardly modified. The other one has a semblance of "togetherness" that shows that whoever tweaked at least gave 1/2 of a **** about what he or she was trying to do. Whoever worked this one over had clearly either just finished cooking some meth or... yeah that may be the only explanation. Meth.
