Thought I'd bring this up to say that yesterday, I picked up a Boss CS-3...completely different beast from my Danelectro Surf and Turf! It's nailing the 60's sound better than the Dano, and will be a great companion to the 360/12V64 when it gets here.

My main comp would be Demeter Compulator. The best sounding stomp comp I have ever heard. Nearly transparent with a bit of sheen added to the sound.
Second fave is the Jangle Box but only when going for the Byrds/Beatles, etc. sound.

I've been happy with the Boss. I've used it on a lot of gigs. It has good gain and is quiet. I have also used the Dynacomp, but it's buzzy.
