The Wheelbarrow Song

Post by admin »

I have heard that Frank Allen sings a rather different song entitled "the Wheelbarrow Song." Has anyone heard this live and if so would you please describe it?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

It's hard to describe. It relies on audience participation. It is a deceptive song in that it appears to be almost a 'nursery rhyme' type song. But as you sing each verse you add a bit to the end of it and also pick up the tempo. We were introduced to it at our first Appreciation Society Convention in 1992. No matter how many times I sing it, I still haven't mastered it!

Tim: It sounds a little bit like a wheelbarrow race and a lot of fun as well.
