You have it really tough over there.
ps....also cool that you got a new guitar and could take pictures right away! three cheers for the guy (can't remember who) that sent you a digi camera.
Re: New kid in town - 360/12V64
The guy who sent me a Digi Camera is named "Wal-Mart Supercenter"!
All jokes aside, some family of mine gave me a gift card to Wal-Mart, and I bought my own Digital Camera, nobody sent me anything.
I do have it really tough over here, Collin. No lie, you could compare my home life to Tom Petty's when he was growing up. Mom loves me, while Dad hates me, but will do nice things for me on occasion.

Dude, if your dad really hated you, all you would be is another gator dropping in the swamp. You've got the best gig going right now, you'll only realise that long after it's gone, just like most of us did. Cut your pops some slack, it's quite obvious he just wants you to be happy and do well with your studies. In a few years, you'll really understand where he's coming from, so just rock on.JakeK wrote:I do have it really tough over here, Collin. If it was me, I would have waited untill you got those guitars and then fed you to the gators

Yeah, if your dad really hated you, he'd do stuff like have you clean the cattle breeding pens with a toothbrush or something, then "accidentally" let the cattle back in the pens while you're working to stomp all over you. Or he might just do anything to get you out of his hair and not care how or what you did, et cetera. In actuality, and to the contrary, your dad may be a stern task master at times, but there's no doubt he loves you.

"Ah, you were lucky......when I was a boy...I had to get up in the morning at ten o clock at night half an hour before I went to bed at night. And we were looooky!"
Seriously though Jake, it's not a personal thing about you, I think we're all just laughing because you lament and complain about your domestic situation and your parents, and I'm not quite sure you understand how other people have it. That just makes people laugh as you complain, while playing (enormously expensive) guitars your parents bought you. That's just kinda funny, ya know?
Though I must hand it to your parents for being so cool. I'm probably not the only person here who had to accomplish things out of fear instead of reward.

All I wanna do is rock!
Re: New kid in town - 360/12V64
I'll repeat an old joke:
"When I was a kid I thought my father was the stupidest man in the world, but by the time I grew up I was amazed at how much the old man had learned."

Yeah, what happened with that?8mileshigher wrote:Nice pair there, Jake!
Question -- what happened to that "project" to make a 12-string out of the 6-string that took the nasty fall ?
Is it still in the works ?
Re: New kid in town - 360/12V64
My thoughts exactly. Last we saw/read it was a broken hulk stripped of most of it's parts. Don't tell me that you're dropping (sorry about the phrasing) the project, now?johneek wrote:Yeah, what happened with that?8mileshigher wrote:Nice pair there, Jake!
