Ric Discussions From Other Forums

Post by spongebob »

Here are a couple of lively discussions from the UK-based 'Basschat' forum.

First is discussing a faker -

And the other slightly odder post - showing some of the weirder opinions of Rics over here -

Before I started dabbling with playing bass I had a good poke around on there looking in to what people rated as decent instruments, attitudes techniques etc.

On my favorite Bass guitarist board I initiiated this topic with Rickenbacker pictures. On this board this topic is used for questions on Rickenbackers also. On the same board there's also this topic which started as a question from one user, and now is more or less a general Questions on Rickenbacker topic.

Please notice that there have been edits here.

While it is fascinating to learn what others have to say, at the same time critiques of other boards posted here often times cause strain for a number of reasons.

If you have a critical comment to make about another board, please post it there.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Was that before you met Simon and formed Duran...

Good to see a few blokes from here helping out with info there. It's still hard to find a Ric in the UK generally speaking, then there is the price...

As Peter has mentioned, please leave critiques about other forums as well inflammatory posts and subjects to those forums.

LOL! I do have to say though, that John Taylor is a good player. I learned the entire Rio album in about a day because I just got hooked in.

Yup, I like his early stuff, especially the Rio album.
