I thought about putting my horseshoe in there but, first I have to get it in my hands. It would take routing, and also cutting the pickguard. Not so sure I should put any Rickenbacker parts on it though...dunno...will let you know in a week or so....

I agree, Marc. I would give it a chance as-is before I plan any mods. You may find you like it just fine.

Here she is in real. A couple of issues, one personal, one with the bass. At the time I bought it, I didn't know my band was going to record. Coulda used the money spent here. With the bass. Looks great,feels nice with the TI flats but, the pickup is making some strange sounds particularly on lower notes. Kinda sounds like a speaker problem, but I played my other bases through the amp with no issues. Very light though, and I love the pickup covers. Gotta keep it for now until I figure out the sound issue, and since we also have a photo session coming up, it'll certainly look good there

That wasn't me Ricfan60. I'm shocked how many luthiers have the same mis-spelled Rees last name as me. I'm trying to think of another name to put on my guitars. Something vintage-y and retro sounding, like Electro was.

I'm not sure it's the pickup. Might be the action too low causing buzzing. Lemme play with it a little and see what happens.

How about using just the name Retro Guitars? Either way, if you change the name, I'll need the new TRC Will definitely pass on photos from the session.
