My First Ric 12

Post by rickendelic »

For all my questions about 330/12's vs. 360/12V's and such, I got the green light from my little, long haired keeper to pull the trigger on a '07 360/12JG. When I'm not playing it, I'm staring at it. I know everyone gets excited when they get a new guitar, but these instruments truly are beautiful and well made. I find I never play the other guitars I have anymore, save for my Martin.

Well, I'm off to plug in :D

Yay, congratulations, Louis! That's great! Maybe you could post a picture or two whenever you come up for air?

Ric 12's are so good, as soon as you get one, you find yourself playing more 12-string than 6-string for a while.

Not only do you find yourself playing more Rick 12 than anything else, you find yourself playing stuff you didn't know you knew, too. Louis, I'm still overjoyed with my Rick 12, so I know how you feel, buddy. And the icing on the cake is, they're wonderful rockabilly guitars. Truly!

Same here...I can barely put my 370/12 down, and when I do it's to pick up my Ovation 12! By the way, did everybody but me know that Ric 12's are strung differently from other brands?? No kidding, I just figured that out!! Anway, Congrats Louis and welcome to the 12 string world!

I'm pretty excited, been playing it all the time, and I have been finding songs I didn't know I knew. My first Ric is a '67 615 MG, this is my first Ric 12 string, the more time I spend with it the more I think I'll never sell it,... that being said I wouldn't mind another though :)

I would post pics of both, but I don't know how, I use a MAC if anyone wants to PM me who does, thanks :)

I told the guys in my band the other night that I wanted to play more Rick 12 string and learn more tunes that feature it. I wonder why?
