Mint 4001 C64S for sale UK

Post by Greeneking »

I'm considering selling my absolutely mint C64S that I've kept as an investment and not played.

It comes with all the case candy in a silver tolex case etc. I realise that having two fairly rare rics and worrying about how I'm paying for my new build is daft. I'm keeping the 4001CS which I'm inclined to play a bit too as it's too nice to be hidden away.

This the the 'Macca' bass with the reversed headstock, vintage nickel plated reverse tuners and the modified body shape.

No sharks teeth markers on the neck but dots.

Tis a beauty.

Looking for £2,400 which is sadly less than I paid for it, recession and all that.

Welcome Peter.

Can't be too many of them in the UK! Good luck with the sale.

Shoot! I've been looking for one. But that seems a bit steep considering customs and shipping.

It is sweet. Good Luck!

Cheers. I hear what you say about the price but it is like brand new condition. If it doesn't reach reasonably near what I bought it for it'd be madness to sell it at the moment.

I'll sort out some decent sized photos too.

Peter, the problem is that in Europe we have higher prices for Rickenbacker.....Therefore what a honest price on this side of the Atlantic is, may sound insanely expensive for our American friends...even if in mint conditions

your target should go towards the European market where you have much more chances

beautiful bass...I have a C64S too, second hand mint conditions, paid € 2.700,00 in Dec2007..so the price was approx the same

Hi everyone! Just wanted to pass on a bit of personal FYI regarding this new member and this sale.

I have the privilege of knowing Peter Burridge (Greeneking). We met a few years back through a bass players' forum. Since then, we've got to know each other well and I've visited him on several occasions.

I just wanted to say that if anyone out there is interested in this instrument, you can rest assured that the description is 100% accurate and you'll be dealing with a man of absolute integrity. Peter is a brilliant bloke and positively obsessive about the care of his instruments (of which he has quite a collection!). When he says a thing's mint - it's MINT! That certainly applies in this case: I've seen this very instrument first-hand. It's gorgeous. :D
