Those commercials where they imply that people from Tuscany think Pizza Hut pizza is the grand pinnacle of their own cultural legacy makes me wretch.rickenbrother wrote:Don't get me started on lousy chain restaurants, especially the ones that pass off slop for Italian food!

Oh Lord!...The new "Hut" stores will be more than simply places to place a delivery order, according to MediaWeek. They will include televisions that broadcast programs such as "Wheel of Fortune" and "Entertainment Tonight."

Whenever I am in Rancho Cucamonga my quest is to find true Italian. So far, no dice. One thing I notice - the Olive Garden right around the corner from the hotel alwayshas a line! One time last summer a bunch of us went for pizza - one of the local guys highly recommended the place - Red Brick!?!?! Huh???:shock:rickenbrother wrote:The Olive Garbage that has commercials sort of like that too.cassius987 wrote:Those commercials where they imply that people from Tuscany think Pizza Hut pizza is the grand pinnacle of their own cultural legacy makes me wretch.rickenbrother wrote:Don't get me started on lousy chain restaurants, especially the ones that pass off slop for Italian food!
It's always good to get back to Wrong Island for the Italian!

You should try Little Italy in Cleveland, sometime, just a couple minutes from where we live.windchimp wrote:Whenever I am in Rancho Cucamonga my quest is to find true Italian. So far, no dice.

I was in the Oakland area (near the airport) not too long ago with a co-worker. The gal at the hotel recommended a place right down the road for some good Italiano. We asked for an order of garlic bread topped with mozzerella - they didn't have mozzerella in the place!
