My meeting with Jdog

Post by JakeK »

Well, all, I'm back from seeing Jdog. He came out to Orlando (without Andy Winter), and we (Jdog, myself and my mom) had a great dinner, and it was enjoyable.

I plan to attend a confluence.

It was great meeting you, Jdog, and it was a great day for me. :)

That sounds like the mini-est confluence ever, but no less fun for it. Did you see his guitars? What did he bring with him?

He brought his 5002 (A?)FG and his 370/12SPC. The 370 was simply one of the coolest 12-strings ever. I bet it sounds killer through an amp.

Jdog is very friendly and kind. A man who's going places!

...to dinner. :D

I'm teasing. Glad you guys were able to meet up! Everyone I've met in the Ric community has been nothing short of amazing. (Does that make me amazing by association?)

Well, technically, it's the smallest Mini-con possible, right? Otherwise I have a daily mini-con jamming with myself. :P

Cool Jake! I'm sure Jason is as cool in person as he is online, every forumite I've ever met has certainly been that way.

I love that 5002 of Jdog's. I saw his vid and the amplified sound of it is just delightful. You could close your eyes and imagine it was a nice acoustic mando being mic'd. 8)

 If there is such a thing as MAS, I think I'm showing symptoms.

I heard three's a crowd...

Sorry I couldn't make it Jake, but with leaving for the UK today for 3+ weeks meant I was running around chicken a la headless...

Hopefully next time you get down this way, we can all get together over at the JDog's pad. :D

Definitely Jake --- the first time you see so many Rickenbackers (and their RRF owners) together at one event is inspirational and everyone will be looking forward to meeting you. Save some bucks for attending SoCal/SCARF at the end of August (maybe the 29th .... Joey is still finalizing the details) .... :D  or you can warm up your playing at the next SoCal Mini Con Jam, the last Saturday in July, if you just can't wait for August !

That's cool that you guys got to meet.
Jake, too bad you couldn't get to SERF, which was probably the closest confluence to you.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
