Nice one.I love the binding BTW.
Re: Introducing The Newest Member of The Family
Awesome, although I consider that a 330 style. Nice score!
Re: Introducing The Newest Member of The Family
Sweet looking geet Dean,congrats!
Re: Introducing The Newest Member of The Family
Thanks again everyone
Greg you are 100% correct. Early 90s necks rock! I am also diggin'the 24 frets. This will take some work to clean up though (what vintage project doesn't?). The tobacco smell is ferocious so I'll have take her apart and get out the naptha and the newspapers, then finish the rest of the polishing and set up. Going to be a busy few days.

A belated congrats, Dean, that is a sweet WB!

Ummm ... what tuning would you use for the first one, EAD? ADG? DGB? GBE? ...bitzerguy wrote:... 360/3 and 360/12 ...

Re: Introducing The Newest Member of The Family
Dean now that you have had time to play yout geetar how does it compare to your smaller bodied rics? anything you thought that you would or would not like?
Re: Introducing The Newest Member of The Family
It is surprisingly quick different. The bigger body took a bit of time to get used to, as did the 24 fret neck. Even my non-Rics are all 21 fret models. However, I sort of wish they all had that great WB neck now. I can go back and forth quite easily now, I just have to look a bit more at the fingerboard of the WB.scotty wrote:Dean now that you have had time to play yout geetar how does it compare to your smaller bodied rics? anything you thought that you would or would not like?
The tone is quite different from 620 and the 350, as I expected. It seems easier to get a 60s tone from it, while the 620 and 350 seem to be easier to be more modern. I do like the easier controlled feedback of the WB. It slides into toneful feedback quite smoothly, where the 350 is more abrupt and can get micro phonic and out of control instantly. Feedback-y Santana style leads are very easy with the WB. I prefer the 350 and 620 for bendy leads though. They will bend a tone more before fretting out.
All in all, the WB adds another colour to my palette and is an extraordinary tool on it's own. I am very pleased, and now determined to hunt down a 12 string twin for it.
