Pyramid Strings and new round core formula
I was reading on the Byrds' forum that Pyramid strings is coming up with a new formula for their strings. Supposedly, they are going to 60's round core style. Where did the news come out on this? When will the strings be released?

The only "round core" strings on this site are for acoustic 6-string (scroll to bottom of page):sloop_john_b wrote:They're available now. Talk to Don Butler. http://www.tone-man.com

Perhaps the electric round cores are on the way . . .

Sorry - from Don:
These are the round core Pyramid Flatwound Golds. The only thing I don't have are short scale bass flats. I do have long scale R.C. flats.
When ordering please put an "R.C." in the box that says "Notes" or Message on PayPal. You can order these thru my site: www.tone-man.com
Thanks!!

Would be interested in round-core flats... DR doesn't make flats that I know of.
D'A Chromes and TIs are hex-core aren't they?

Chromes are hex-core, TIs are round-core.

Ah...
IMO the Chromes record better but for good organic tone the TIs win. Maybe the "tetrahedrons" would be the best of both worlds, with a round core.
