Re: Farrah Fawcett succumbs to cancer
RIP.
I was in the security line immediately behind her in `02 or `03 at the airport for a redeye flight out of LAX. We were both on the same flight to Dallas, IIRC, though I was changing planes there and going on to Charlotte, NC. Ms. Fawcett wasn't in the best of health even then; she could walk, but used a wheelchair to go from the security line to the plane. The TSA selected her for more thorough screening than the metal detector walk through, which made me a bit irritated at the time. She wasn't in good health, was obviously not a suicide bomber, and yet in nod to political correctness, the TSA put her through the extra screening-D-U-M-B! She was a good sport about it though, just like most of us are.

Saw the headline on the Yahoo site. Sad. RIP, Farrah. Had a crush on you when I was in college. Didn't we all?

This is such a sad ending to her journey through our hearts and minds. She had a million watt smile and I will always remember her for that and also her courage later on in life.

I think she made a big impression on our whole generation, as an object of desire for the boys, a role model for the girls (me too), and a wonderful performer and friend to her peers.

Re: Farrah Fawcett succumbs to cancer
To see her show the world the true face of cancer took more courage than most of us have. I am happy for her that her pain is over, although I know she did not want cancer to "win" she had suffered through it with courage and dignity. Rest in Peace Farrah!

Another era sadly comes to an end, RIP, Farah...
Re: Farrah Fawcett succumbs to cancer
It's a sad day, Farrah and Michael Jackson. Ed McMahon too just a few days ago. Every time one of the Icons from when I was growing up passes on I feel a bit older.
Anyway, thanks to all three for some great entertainment over the years, you will all be missed.
