Two different cameras and I have major focusing problems. Hey, here's a question for you. I just inherited a Nikon 8008 with a 50mm and 35-about 80 zoom Nikor AF(?) lenses. Will these lenses work with the new Nikon digitals, like the D40, D60, or D80 bodies? I haven't had time to look the outfit over to be more specific.

They will work but with some limitations. Nikon has tried very hard to make all their cameras compatible in some form or another with legacy lenses; this is one of the reasons Nikon has stayed with the F mount. Most other manufacturers designed new mounts for their lenses when they went AF such as the Canon EOS mount vs. the earlier FD mount.

Thanks Jeffrey. I accidentally called you by your last name earlier - whoops. Thanks to your advice, I love my Rick even more (if that were possible). It worked perfectly and the result was just what I needed to balance it (and make it look a little more accurate in appearance - the whole idea/purpose of the RI shoes in the first place).

I really would like more space between the pickup and the shoes. And bended shoes looks way better (it's just a bit of a hassle with walking though)

Of course, you could just [/i]buy[/i] the pickup shown, as I have it for sale! Then you get a pre-shaped one and can save your other one for the future.

No, it just means they only want half of what you made...

Also it looks like the pickup itself is a little bit bended, so the E-string is a little too close to the pole piece.
Or does this pickup look normal to you?

Philip, what you see is just the E side of the pickup adjusted closer to the strings than the G side.
