RIP Ozzy's Pup
RIP Ozzy's Pup
..Osborne's pomeranian pup. "Little Bit" was apparently killed and eaten by a coyote while the Osbornes were watching the Live Michael Jackson Memorial service.

Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
Bigger dogs are like the second major cause of death in little dogs, after automobiles. That is a pity now, really. I like Ozzy and I like little dogs too. It can be like losing a member of the family.
I truly sympathize with his loss.

I like Ozzy too. Sabbath is a lot of fun to play on bass...Geezer Butler is a great bassist.kiramdear wrote:Bigger dogs are like the second major cause of death in little dogs, after automobiles. Apparently Ozzy is, understandably, heartbroken.

Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
Jeez.....I thought Ozzy was dead. The original title of this thread was very misleading.

This belonging to the guy who once ate the head off a live Bat in a record exec. meeting.
Bummer, I guess. Luckily he has like 400 other dogs to replace it with!

Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
Apparently he and his family are into rescuing strays, of which they have 18. Good for them!

Title amended accordingly.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
Coyote packs will send a female in heat into a human neighborhood for the purpose of luring male dogs out...the pack then kills and eats their unfortunate domesticated cousins...
Pretty intelligent beasts...and that's not even taking into account the piles of birdseed in front of tunnel entrances painted on rock walls, the spring-loaded catapults or the rocket-propelled roller skates...

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
That's why I never let Tripper out of my sight, or off the leash in public. People say I tend to be too doting on him, but I tell them little dogs are not like big dogs. You can't just "let him be a dog". I only have to let my guard down and screw up one time to lose him forever, which would absolutely devastate me
I'll opt to err on the side of being over-protective.

Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
Where my mom lived, in So. Cal., it was not uncommon to have coyotes run in and snatch little dogs on a leash, yanking the leash out of the owner's hand. The coyotes are pretty much fearless in that area. Not quite the same around here...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: RIP Ozzy's Pup
You don't see many coyotes in San Rafael, but the Marin Headlands and the East Bay are well stocked. Good thing Tripper and I are not much for the great outdoors anyway. I took him to a dog park once and he looked at me like I was crazy, like, "Can we go back inside now?".
Me, I just hate bugs.
But we do have owls and hawks and condors flying around the harbor a lot. Watch out for your little ones!

Your Tripper is too cute Kira. Is he named after "Daytripper"? I do, however, feel sorry for the stuffed moose.kiramdear wrote:That's why I never let Tripper out of my sight, or off the leash in public. Thanks, and yes, it was the Beatles' song that inspired his name.Bighouse wrote: Your Tripper is too cute Kira. Is he named after "Daytripper"? I do, however, feel sorry for the stuffed moose.
