Has to be '07. I have a late '06 330DCM with a large headstock. I understand there are DCMs with both types of headstocks.

Now we just need a GumbyGlo paint job. Hey, maybe that can be the next COY...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I'm leaning toward smaller but can someone say for sure?
I've been accused of having a pokey head, but I know that doesn't

I know that the big headstocks are seen as sort of gross but now I think that on the hollowbody Rickenbackers they're more in proportion with these pretty big guitars. The large-ish head on my '06 330 looks pretty right, I think. Likewise I'm coming around the to the big, more-Bigsby-like head on the '72 Stratocaster. Headstock sizes seem to evolve sort of like lapel and tie widths, hemlines, and heel heights. Hmm, there's a term paper...

Now that you mention it Dane, I'd have to agree. :)

Taking the headstock shape nickname theme a step further, does that mean all of the 400X bass and 480/481 headstocks look like Elvis heads? That curve's always looked like a pompadour to me...not that I I don't like those...actually, my own head o' hair often resembles that. Just curious

I find the larger head shape most becoming on the 300X and 2020, 2050, 2030GF basses. This one is very shapely:

Don't feel funny Kira, my 4001 has a Bob's Big Boy head.
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
