Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

It allows you to plug directly to a sound board for a cleaner sound. No amp/preamp needed.Bighouse wrote:Huh? I prefer the MG finish....it will look spectacular in ambered form 10-15 years time, and it probably intonates better now than it did originally!
It's cheeeep!

+1. There doesn't seem to be as many around in MG. That bass is in great shape.wints wrote:I prefer the MG finish....it will look spectacular in ambered form 10-15 years time, and it probably intonates better now than it did originally!

I'd leave it MG, of course, I'm a confirmed MapleGloaholic...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: Anyone see this? 4002 content
the ad says its a starz bridge, and it looks like someone drilled body-through anchor holes for the strings like a fender telecaster bass has. all the time i had my walnut glo 4002,i lusted after the maple finish one-i really like the contrast of the light maple and the skunk stripe, ebony board, binding, etc, verus the overall browness of the walnut finish.
my luthier in memphis offered to refinish my 4002 in pink.....i declined.....

I am so on this -- hopefully report to come soon.
Re: Anyone see this? 4002 content
Ouch! Didn't notice the holes drilled through for the strings. Oh well, I can't afford it anyway, even at the low price...

Good luck, Jake!
Re: Anyone see this? 4002 content
It involved drilling holes through the bass, that's for sure. I do not like that modjakeox wrote:Does anyone know if this bridge involved any routing? Man, I'd love to take a quick trip to Vegas.

Oh, I get it. I'd buy it even with the holes, etc. if only I had the money...

What's to get? You don't have to kill.....just buy it (sacrifice other gear or get a loan) and you don't have to wait for hell to freeze over as RIC reissues the 4002.cassius987 wrote:You guys don't get it. I would almost kill for a 4002. Oh man... congrats to whoever gets it.
