First time poster, long time rickenbacker owner and a fan of Weller & Gallagher, here is a video of Noel playing Wellers Rickenbacker on the song "Who Feels Love" additional footage can be found of the same guitar during their Wembley 2000 performance from the DVD "Familiar ot Millions" of the same song. On a side note The 330 Jetglo mentioned in earlier posts was given to Steve Craddock of Ocean Colour Scene as a gift also.

Welcome, GuyB!

Great song!!! :D

Just to let you know, at some point, probably sooner than later, your "name" will have to change, as we prefer/require full real names on this forum.

I think the Oasis 330s are later models. Look at the pickups at 3:16 on the video above, also the headstock/tuners at 4:57.
Those are mid 80's plus features.
YMMV,

Good Question!

It's discussed here, but it's incomplete: http://www.rickresource.com/rrp/jam.html

Burgandyglo
White
Jetglo w/white pg/trc,
Jetglo w/black pg/trc-supposedly the same guitar-I've seen two versions of this; one with the "R" tailpiece, another with a gibson stop style tailpiece
Fireglo 21 fret with "I am nobody" scratched into upper bout, recently purchased by our very own Graham Griffiths
Fireglo 24 fret
Mapleglo
1997 RM 330, as seen in the "News of the World" video
***IIRC, the pop art refinished "Whaam" guitar is the JG/WT model that was refinished after suffering a headstock break, or something of that sort.

One post on the RRF link above mentions Ruby, but I think the poster might be referring to the BG guitars seen in in the video. Am I missing it? Anyone?

I'm actually just going through the very slow process of listing many of Wellers Rickenbacker guitars, from hours of old video footage and scrapbook collections. I might also be able to get a little info from the man himself. I'll post the findings on here once I've exhausted my sources, then others could add any missing links and hopefully we'll get something close to a definitive list.

Rob - really interested in what you're working on. I've collected a fair amount of bits and bobs throughout the years, but have never put it all together - or had the chance to confirm it with the man himself (you namedropper  )

I think that the 330s listed so far cover what he's been out in public with:
  • Burgundyglo (21 fret), with and without stickers and broken (by Weller) at the "This Is The Modern World" recording sessions (pretty sure that this was reported in Sound on Sound).
  • Fireglo (21 fret) with and without stickers and finally with "I am nobody" scribed on the front.
  • Fireglo (24 fret) with "The Boys" sticker ala "All Mod Cons" rear cover.
  • Jetglo (24 fret) with assorted sticker variations and a "W" between the PUP's, had sported a black TRC at one point, (probably) later finished in the Lichtenstein "WHAAM!" and humbucker added. I've also seen the "WHAAM!" with a sanded maple back, but still with the JG neck.
  • Mapleglo (24 fret) with various stickers applied and removed - I'm not sure that this went to Gallagher a mentioned above, I thought it was the white one (which he has borrowed back a few times) - can anyone find provinance?
  • Jetglo (24 fret) with blue "£" and green "P" for "Going Underground", XITS on the back, later with exclamation mark stickers, swapped R for a hardtail, given to Steve Craddock and now has a white nut.
  • White (24 fret) with pink "P" between the PUPs, a red rose in the soundhole and "The Total Look" taped on the front.
I could get very "trainspotter" about it (lets make a database... :D ), but it is the sound the man got out of them which is the real turn on for me. Here's a couple of rarer press shots.

I bought this advert on eBay - the same shop also did a "congrats on Going Undergound being number one version".

Nuts! That Rick's taken some abuse!

An acquaintance's JG 330, recently sold and of similar vintage, had a finish crack in that same spot at the end of the sound hole.

This is great. thanks for all the replies guys.

I think as a list, just about everything has been covered by the folks on here, but rather than just compile a list, what I'm currently doing is trying to get a half decent screen grab or scan of Weller playing each of his Rics. It's a slow process but definitely a labour of love.
Then somehow I'd like to create a database with a section for each of Wellers Rics, then people can upload their photos into the relevent section. Does that make sense?

Anyhow, it's very much a 'work in progress' and I'm very busy with work at the moment, but it should be pretty good once it's done.

Mark. I think 'Walls come tumbling down' on TOTP is the only time I've seen him playing a Ric Bass. I know that on the first couple of Style Council tours that Weller played bass on some of the instrumental tracks, but I'm sure he just used his bass players Fender for that. But i'll look into this too.

I should have known - same fringe as the video!
