I was actually thinking of getting the front of one of my recent 4003's refinished with a
much smaller black and white check (7mm squares - Far more subtle than the big checker
pattern) and also getting the back of the bass and the neck sanded off, repainted and
reglossed. The current (Midnight Blue) finish has issues.
Depends on cost.
