COY for 2010 ???

Post by RonLovesRic12strings »

Has anyone heard if RIC will have a new Color of the Year for 2010?

What would be your choice?

I would like to see a "Triburst" similar to that found on a Gibson ES 335.....call it "Triglo" ???

Maybe even a "Honeyglo", which would be a variation of Mapleglo with darker caramel edges fading to a nice amber in the center.

The way I see it, John Hall is going to keep everything under wraps until January 2010 at NAMM.

I sure wish they would bring Autumnglo back...the 60's variation...with the black to red burst.

If I could imagine a cool Ric finish it would be "BlueBoyBurst" basically the blueboy color sprayed over a white base in the familiar fireglo spray pattern. Like a burst without seeing the grain. Maybe it just looks better in my head though....

I vote for Pumpkinglo.
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

I've often considered that "Jetburst" would look cool -- a burst sprayed like a Fireglo or BBR except just black on natural. I don't know if it's even feasible, but I'd like it. It also has the advantage of enabling RIC to use a known quantity color -- the New Jetglo -- without having to bother with color/pigment issues.

Yes, sir. White on white with white binding, white TRC with white lettering and white fretboard (with black FWIs for the deluxe models), coming right up.

There's a lot of good ones here but I think I'm on board with the white.

Think of a white 381 or 660............................... Good Lord!

Yeah, all white would be pretty pimp.

Even a standard 330 in white would be cool.

In response to your Jetburst, Ron--I always thought a Ric would look cool in that blackburst color---black to greyish in the center, that they use on some modern PRS guitars etc... it'd look sweet on a 381 or something similar.

something like this:

How about "Starburst" with each colour tasting of a different fruit?
