I just had to try this one...one of my all-time favorite songs.

Quite simply put Mark, you are a genius. I like this better than the original. The acoustic guitar work is superlative and the sterling vocals do not hurt either. :) Thanks for sharing this. Wow.

I've been screaming that same statement from my padded cell for years now, but do you think the nurses ever listen??

Well, I don't, but I'm really amazed and happy to know you both think that. Blows me away. Thanks Jim!

This is probably my favorite lyric too...half-impenetrable and half obvious, and the meaning changes with the times. Paul Simon really is a genius where songwriting is concerned. I'm painting by numbers...but glad to hear I've apparently stayed within the lines.

Thanks again!

Mark: I have listened to this twice more and I would add that I sold you short on my first review. Truly outstanding.

+1

You also have an excellent voice- it has a very "George Harrison" timbre to it- do you do any GH songs???
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

Lyle, flawless work. You've posted some great pieces on here, but this by far is at the very top!

Eeeeeeeeeeek!

All I can say is I'm blown away by these responses. I really never know what's going to fly or fall, and I guess this one works.

Thanks so much! Now watch the next one suck wind.

WOW! Yeah, better than the original!
If the next one is only half as good it'll still be fantastic!
