Nate, the chome cleaned up nice (as did the room?). I like the black look. you might want to talk to Pickguardian
http://www.pickguardian.com
click on the Rick button. I think that have guards for a good price and are really good folks to work with. Might even be able to clean your original pick guard.

In those pics the TRC looks fine - just like an actual RIC-issue white on black.

I agree with Mark - looks fine to me. This coming from a guy who painted his headstock wings black (I still wouldn't change them). But if you are looking to undo... talk with the Guardian folks they seem to know their stuff and if not may know someone who does. But really I think the whole bass package looks cool!

Thanks a lot guys. At least I can still say it has the original parts.
I'm thinking of switching to a mirror guard in the future.

I had it custom made. It's actually a brass TRC under the chrome. I hand-painted the black lettering on top of the chrome.

Oh hell ya! How did you swing that? I still kick myself for not getting a pic of Chris signing the guard on my 4008CS.

Oh, I suppose we can make an exception in this case!

Looks like a good time. Is that Scotty with the wife & future Rick enthusiast I see in the background?
