Did they make a Hi- gain toaster pickup for the neck?

One of our members - Sergio can make one for you out of a high gain pickup. He has converted a couple for me.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but the early 90s toaster re-issues are very hot - like 11k. I have them on all 3 of my Ric basses.

Thats what I was asking. I replaced the bridge pickup with a newer and its way hotter than the neck. I have a 79 rick. So I wass thinking of a toaster for the neck that was Hot as well. Where might I find one of these or are they hard to find?

I had to buy an entire V63 to get one of mine!

But they do pop up on the used market once in a while. Not all sellers actually know what they've got though. You obviously have to hook it up to a multi meter to know for sure. You might just want to go with a new, standard high gain neck position pup.

You will have more luck finding a 90s guitar toaster higain that is the 12k or so range. Then change out the bottom mounting plate to get the threaded one off the bass pickup. I may have a guitar button top higain in that range that could be converted to a toaster easily.

My '93 V63 has a toaster that measures 14k.

If you purchase a new guitar high gain pickup, replace the poles with Allan screws and put a toaster cover on it, you'll have a high gain toaster. I have a couple in one of my 4004Cii's and love the bright, powerful tone.
