Aquamarine

Post by wittyair »

I do realize how fortunate I am to be able to acquire such unique, wonderful artwork. The ebay
pictures (and these pictures as well ) just cannot capture the sublime beauty of these experimental
finishes. To behold up close and have the time to really look and see the nuance of color is simply amazing.
Ben.....keep doing what you do because these instruments are certainly works of art. Hard to take your eyes
off of them. We need to have a confluence here in the mountains sometime so everyone can have a chance
to see them ( and play them ).

Very nice, Craig. Next up, a CS bass for you! Want me to keep my eyes peeled for you?

How does it differ with your 660/12 PBR and/or your 660/12TP?

Oh yeah! That looks a lot better than the RIC ebay pics! I guess that's a good thing, if they'd had better pics, it might have cost you more. Congrats on the new one of a kind! Now you'll have to take new pictures of the whole group again!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Craig,

Great looking RIC!! Aquamarine really describes the color well since the ocean can take on a combination of green to blue, depending on the time of day and how much sun exposure there is. I bet the color really is striking in person since a lot of RIC colors, especially the bursts, are hard to capture accurately with a photo. Also, it's nice to have a one-off because it's unique.

Nice one Craig !!!

When I saw it on ebay I thought it might finish up with you.

For the record...

The fellas in woodshop selected the figured body wings and neck and put them together.

Eric painted the sweet burst on it and coated it with UV finish.

The folks in our assembly dept. built the humbuckers and set the guitar up.

I merely facilitated the interaction between the depts. to make sure it reached the finish line.
