"Green Glo" / "Green Glow"
I've seen the ..distaste for all-things Ed Roman, but I checked out his site anyway. noticed something weird: Green rics?
$2000 http://www.edromanguitars.com/guitar/home_ric.htm
$2500 http://www.edromanguitars.com/guitar/rickenbacker/color_ric.htm
(scroll down until you see Green Lantern)
aside from the strange price differences, are those entirely custom paintjobs? and are those pictures edited so the glow seems to "glow"? (the earlier picture in the 2nd page makes it seem rather dull, actually)
it really caught my eye, but, if its just Green, and it doesn't really "glow", I'm not even interested, sadly.
I'd ask Ed himself, but he doesn't answer emails unless you leave a phone number.

the price difference is all that bothered me, not the price itself. when seeing something like that, I feel as if the price can just magically change, with no guarantee of "the customer is right" going into effect. I mean, I can just see him arguing that "we always discussed $2500!"
I've only seen such a "glow" finish on a Strat once. I fell in love with it but never saw it again. it's too bad he just edited the picture to look that way - having a ric with a beautiful finish like that would be the coolest.

Here is a closer look at a Shaded Green finish.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

to clear things up:
the photo I posted is the results of me in photoshop. I took the bottom guitar and cleared it up to look realistic. it appeared Ed edited the picture to "glow"... it became evident to me when I noticed a green tint to everything (even the chrome).
I'd assume he has yet to make one that looks the same in-person... and that's all I can do - he won't write me back.
bottom photo: Ed's claim to a "glowing" guitar
top photo: realistic rendering of his guitar
