You're gonna want to hang onto that one, seriously. I haven't played a 2000 & up bass that was nearly as good of a player as the early '90s V63/CSs.

Why? The real vintage ones aren't even as expensive as it would be to import one of these RIs from Japan.

Well, if it's a 360/12c65 AND it's going to be sold in the USA. I like vintage guitars, but if I owned one I would be afraid to take it anywhere.

I can empathize, but it really isn't that bad.

Funny you should mention that..
Based on that cryptic comment, I think I foresee a RIC outlet 360 C63 one off in the Eric B FG coming soon!

No one offs, just the 40 FG's 8)

Well, there's your answer then Scotty; the 40 FGs for this limited edition will be done in the EB FG. :D

Yeah, they usually already come with at least one small ding or two, so you don't have to cry over the first one you put in it, as you would on a new guitar.

Exactly, for me it's just the opposite. I'm more afraid to take the new ones out for fear of dings.

I'd sign up for a 360C 63/6 FG with Klusons but what style of tuners are on these 6 strings?

They look like the same Sta-Tite replica tuners that are on the now-discontinuted 325 C58

Like so-scroll down for the back of the headstock closeup: http://www.voxshowroom.com/northcoast/r ... index.html

It's another type of vintage style tuner. I like those as well-slightly more elegant in shape than the Klusons, though the simple Kluson is one of my favorites.

It'll be the same pickup as the C64 so, no.

Plus, the reason would have nothing to do with a vintage guitar being more "valuable" compared to a $5000 Japanese market Reissue Ric........either way it'd be a helluvan expensive guitar to gig with no matter what you're taking out. Might as well have the "real deal," as is always the argument.
