Stan as I recall I was seated in about row 12 centre stage of the QE Theatre. I could see and hear the band like they were in my living room. Stevie was absolutely amazing. The venue only holds 2700 people or so in a comfortable seating arrangement with clear sight lines. Ah! those were the days when you could actually hear a pin drop after the applause had settled down and the artist move to the microphone to introduce the next song.

Brian, I never got to see him in a larger venue. Wish I'd had the chance (may have, but my memory is foggy). Stubbs was the place for me when I first moved here and and was one of the joints he and Double Trouble first began to hone their sound. My living room was bigger than Stubbs place. :D Well, not counting the back pool room.

I was searching the forums and found this post... got my attention, as I only know one Steve Wynn (currently on tour with the Baseball Project if I'm not mistaking). I wikipedia'ed it and was surprised to find another one...

The worst concert I've ever seen? Must have been Lenny Kravitz... every song went into overtime ending after about 15 minutes, add the guy's ego... never will I go see him again!

Best...Mahavishnu Orchestra at the Mississippi River Festival, August 1973...this was the "rehearsal" if you will for their live recording in Central Park at their very next gig (after which the original group disbanded).

Opening act was The Section....Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar.....what an eveining this was.

Worst....Neil Young doing his Greendale schtick.....ugh!! Thank goodness Lucinda Williams was the opener or this would have been a total waste...slept through most of the Greendale stuff.
No matter where you go, no matter what you do, there you are.

I saw the MO in Kent, Ohio in 1972, along with Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention (Jean Luc Ponty and George Duke were with them). :D

Best: Hellacopters, Nebula, The Datsuns at the Axis in Boston in 2006. Fantastic show best triple bill I ever saw.

Worst: Whitesnake 2005? Webster Theater in Hartford. The opening acts were terrible, but nothing matched Whitesnake. They were so bad we left after a few songs. And I'm a big David Coverdale fan.

Best - Neil Young in a hotel ballroom in Honolulu, late '80's. They were on a little riser, you could walk right up to them and touch them. Everyone was video taping him.

Worst - Same Neil Young concert. He was doing that 10 men working -brass band thing. Dull. Now if he been with Crazy Horse...
