Storing without strings for a week

Re: Storing without strings for a week
Thanks for all the help folks. My neighbor helped me out and he had the right ratchet wrench and I had the right size nut driver to do the job. The first of two bridges came in today which is too short for the original plus it's black. Wouldn't look good if put on a chrome plate. Brass and black on a chrome plate...yuuucccchhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a wider bridge with five holes. I think that one will work out nicely. The mod should look great when complete. Both are Badasses. So if anyone wants a black/brass 70's Badass bridge, I have one for a fairly reasonable price. It functions great.

Agreed. Go to an online tool store and order an Xcelite L8 nutdriver (1/4" long shaft). They're only $6-7 and you'll get it in a day or two. This is the only tool you should use to tighten RIC truss rods with. With a ratchet it's far too easy to apply too much force without realizing it.
Ka is a wheel.

No need to fret about using a ratchet to tighten down the nuts. I am taking the bass to a pro to modify the tailpiece. I think he'll know how tight they need to be.
