I know some (many?) of you are sick of hearing about Woodstock. But . . . there are now a few CD complete artist sets including the Airplane, Santana, Sly, Janis and Johnny Winter:
They are all excellent. Johnny Winter's set is especially good, with his "little brother" Edgar joining the band on stage for three songs. Jefferson Airplane's set is 100 minutes long, so it takes up half of the first CD, and all of the second CD.
As I think I've mentioned here before, I slept Saturday evening in the woods beside the hill.
(Hog Farm's Lisa Law calls it the "forest.")
I slept under the stars in just a T-shirt and shorts. It was kinda cold.
I walked out to an area overlooking the hill just as the Airplane were starting to play.
And the idiot that I am, I didn't stay to watch and listen.
I took one photo with my Poloroid "Swinger" camera and walked back into the woods.
(That photo has long been lost.)
Oh well. At least I got to see them a couple of months later at the Fillmore (East).
