I think people are either going to love it or hate it.

Put me down on the "hate it" list...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: She comes in colors

Put me down on that list too. Let's see if it's a "bass player" thing.cjj wrote:Put me down on the "hate it" list...
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

Re: She comes in colors
I saw 4 of these at my local Guitar Center today. I didn't plug one in but I do know some of the guys there so I did pick one up and noodle around a bit unplugged.
The top is contoured, kind of like the SG Diablo they came out with last year, and it was much heavier than most SG's I've played. I missed having fretboard markers too.
I thought it had kind of a Fender "Wildwood" vibe except with no lacquer on the finish. It seemed to play pretty well but it's just not my cup of tea. I'm an SG fan but I like the regular SG's better.
I imagine this would attract a lot of attention at a gig though.
I will tell you that the Guitar Center guys were all making fun of them, but I don't put much weight on that, they don't like my Rickenbackers either

It looks like one of those all day suckers you buy in candy shops at fairs and amusement parks.

Or is it that we'd still hate it, but we just wouldn't care?kiramdear wrote:All you "hate it" guys should try out my meds for a few days and then see it that thing still doesn't appeal to you ...

Re: She comes in colors
Even though I heard it said that Gibson is just getting rid of scrap wood on this one, I find the whole concept very creative and the result is very entertaining to look at. But then I often combine camo and tye-dye in the outfits I wear. YMMV
