It does look like fun. I hope they follow up with a four string sequel.
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
Re: It Might Get Loud
Looks like the kind of movie I'd enjoy.

Bwahahahaha!
It looks like all the guitars featured by the players are Gibsons?? Can someone a lot more knowledgeable than I am confirm that??? Suscpicious...might just be an hour+ long advertisement paid for by Gibson mascquerading as a movie.

Um.... no.... Jack White plays Gretsches and Airline guitars as well as every cheap guitar under the sun (many of them seen in the movie), The Edge plays everything... including Gretsch and Rickenbacker, I think Page is the only one who plays Gibson exclusively.

Snap! This is one to see for me, peeps.....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

Also, there's a Ric in the background at 1:18 to the left of The Edge, Page has a Telecaster at 1:36 and again at 1:42 (and he's used them for decades--the Stairway solo is a Telecaster, btw), looks like Page (?) with a Danelectro at 2:06.1965 wrote:Jack's playing a Kay on the movie poster above.tennis_nick wrote:Bighouse wrote:Bwahahahaha!

I know I missed several but the scenes fly by so quickly...
Looks like this might be worth a look-see.

I saw the movie yesterday. It's quite fun and interesting to watch, though afterwards I couldn't help but feel that it's a missed opportunity.
Most of the movie is one of those three reflecting about his past, visiting a memorable place or two. It's kind of bio, but instead of usual names and dates it's focused on creative side. Movie obviously tries to find some similarities or radical differences in their creative paths, and though it feels somewhat laboured, it's nice to watch nevertheless.
Most problematic part is when all three are in the same room. It's mostly one guy talking, and other two nodding or just listening. There's almost zero interaction between them. It's as if they have too much respect for each other to voice an opinion, or just not that interested, I don't know. A couple of jams are very short and sadly lead nowhere too.
And no, it's not a Gibson ad in disguise. Page talks about his first Fender strat (or was it a copy?), White spends some time on his butchered Gretsch (looks like an anny jr), that got a cavity inside the body for a bullet mic (oh!).
Oh, and I guess a movie like this should be quite boring for a non-guitarist, or even worse for a non-musician. Though I wish it was longer
