Hey Folks, Nice To Meet You

Post by StringTheorist »

I just joined the forum, but I don't have my Ric yet. I should be in possession of an early-90's 330/6 by some time next week, it was shipped today. I have always wanted a Rickenbacker, finally going to get my wish.

I stopped by Action Music in Arlington, VA today (great place, definitely drop in if you're in the area) and played a Jetglo 360 for bit, to help my waiting be a bit more bearable. I feel like a kid on Xmas eve, can't wait for my present!

Btw - I tried to join the forum at rickenbacker.com several days ago, and so far my account hasn't been activated.

Welcome to our forum Steve,

Btw I have made a small edit to your initial post. We don't allow discussion about other boards. In any event enjoy the hospitaility here. We are all friendly people with a common bond. :D

Welcome, Steve! :D I have only been to AM once, so far, but that had some great '50s/'60s Ricks there with price tags on them that said:

StringTheorist.....Welcome to the canteen, brah. Lots of knowledgeable peeps populate this landscape. Courteous, too. Please do post a pic or two of your upcoming acquisition and give us a heads up about your impressions of it. Best regards.....Goofyfoot.

Wow. Well, I doubt I'll ever end up with THAT many Ricks, but I expect I'll have to at least get a 12-string before I'm done.

I'll post pictures of my new baby when she arrives. Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm pleased to be part of the family. :D
