Sorry Kevin  , I don't post her too frequently....but this thread just screamed for an appearance!
sloop_john_b wrote:The '71 is an unbelievably sweet instrument to behold in person. Tony wisely strung it up with TI flats; consequently, the sound and feel were second to none. One of the best Rick basses I've had the pleasure of playing. Thanks T. 8)
You are very welcome John, I'm glad you enjoyed it and THANKS for the compliments! When I first played the bass, it just SCREAMED for TI Flats. I love those strings and the way they sound and make the bass feel, sweet LOW & SMOOTH.

What a quinkie-dink! I just put my 1st set of TI's on the '71 also. I need to spend more time with them, but 1st impressions are great!

That's a great looking bass, Tony! No need to keep her in hiding!

Tony, now I remember the '73 going for the '71. Oh, btw, my fingers are more limber in the first half of December.

One brother in Stuart and one in Jenson Beach!

I'm over-due for a visit. The last time I was down was 2004 when I got my (John's) MG V63.
We are tentatively planning a visit next Spring. I'll be sure to look you up!
