It's now gone from ebay "bidding has ended" but doesn't say sold by BIN. Something's going on . . . .

I just got out of a movie, Inglorious Basterds (which was epic), and I also see its gone off ebay with no winning bidder. They told us they may get it tonight but they didn't know. So ill be calling them tomorrow morning and update everyone with what I know!

Man, I am so incredibly happy for you. You are really and truly fortunate. Too often these cases turn out much differently.

that would be cool! Give the cops a chance - that are as understaffed and overworked as anyone else and have alot on their plates... I think this may actually happen here in this case. Keeping my fingers crossed! That would be a great footnote to very happy ending.

I am VERY lucky, I can't believe it showed up. At first I was thinking "I'll get this back soon, I have the serial number and a police report and they probably are some crack heads just trying to make money, ill see it on Ebay, craigslist or a pawnshop." But after a month I was thinkin it was gone, can't believe it showed up. Hopefully the police contact me today with good news!

Wish I was a fly on the wall when he opens his case and sees his bass again....and when the cops show up on the culprit's porch knocking on the door.
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.

If you need help with that, I know one of the scaplers in the movie. I was in a band with him in high school. I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a few pointers.

It's possible he was tipped off by someone reading this thread or the one on another forum (if they're talking about it elsewhere, I haven't looked) or maybe he was just reading about it himself.

Regardless, it doesn't say a lot for a guy who runs with the property after it's known to be stolen. Sure, it sucks for the guy but if he was standup, he'd be able to cope with being ripped off by a thief.
