Writer of "Leader of the Pack," "Chapel of Love," "Be My Baby" and tons more.
One of the all-time greats. :(

There is a line in "Chapel of Love" that goes "Gee, I really love you ..."
When the song came out (a million years ago) my sister had a crush on a boy named Steve. And if you listen to the song, you can hear how my sister sang along: "Steve, I really love you ... "

I found out about her passing yesterday...................she was a great writer and a very good singer. RIP Ellie.
