That's Scotty. It's a bit ragged, but not completely awful. I adore the song and would like to give it the proper works soon (even if Les Paul sort of raised the bar).

I'm not familiar with the Les Paul version, but your take on it is 1,000 times better than that recent cover that has gotten so popular with the overbearing male vocals. I think I heard that same song at three separate parties last year... DJs are crazy.

Keep working on it! I like where you're aiming. I am still trying to do a decent cover of Bill Evans' "Nardis" on my fretless bass (in fact I submitted my very first, within-five-minutes-of-owning-my-fretless clip of it here), but I still suck. I notice that it often takes me one or two years to complete an ambitious project like that, but when I finally have it feels like quite an accomplishment, and of course a lot of lessons are learned along the way. Don't give up!

Thanks Josh! I need to do a multi-track version with an acoustic rhythm so the Ric doesn't sound quite as naked. Truth is I got excited about my camera recording sound and wanted to do something Rickenbacker based.
