Pete,

Dulux/Crown...Who knows! They did a good spray job though.

Enjoy that new baby!

Pete. really nice 1999MG bass! I too like the all white look. And it is a sparkling white. Great project that turned out beautifully.

Two quick questions - what year is the bass? Second - how does it sound compared to your 29 year memory of the original bass's sound?

Thanks John,
Its 30th Sept 1991 #239.
I am just giving it a run through the Ampeg and its sounding good.
Seems to have a lot of bottom end a bit richer than the other CS.
I really couldnt say for sure but a real RM in good voice has the edge on the CS in my opinion.
Feels more like an RM in neck profile than the "original" CS.

Pete, that's a great looking bass! You must be very happy. Are you thinking of adding a new thumb rest/tug bar to it?

'91 necks are really nice ones. As to RMs over the CS, no experience with an RM or CS but I do think the newer 4003 basses (as the now 4001xx basses are) have a bit richer bottom end and thus a bit darker.

I have always thought that all white Rics were the nicest of all the colors. I loved maurice's bass sound in the 60's on all those old BeeGee's records. Very cool looking bass.
