Amber Fireglow Photoshop Guru Entry

Post by drkatherine1 »

I teach high school special education in an alternative setting. I teach 4 periods of social science and 2 periods of Digital Media Design. I decided to take my love for Rickenbacker guitars to a new height and compose an entry for the Guru Awards at the Photoshop World Conference at the end of September. I wanted to post it here and share it with other Ric lovers. Enjoy

Wow! Your work has a magical quality almost like you might expect to grace a cover of a Harry Potter novel. I like it.

Very nice work, Katherine! :D So much more creative that what one typically sees in surrealistic digital art. 8)

That is really impressive...and very striking. I wish I could get a print of it.

Thank you so much for the feedback. Currently, it is on its way as an entry into the Photoshop Guru contest. It is held in conjunction with the worldwide Photoshop conference in Las Vegas at the end of September...beginning of October. I will have to wait until the results of that are known before I can make a move and offer any prints. In the future...after the contest is over... might consider making custom prints of individuals with their own Rics in the photo. The photo is of me and all our personal Rics. I had so much fun making it and if there is interest I might be willing to do some custom work. It would have to be sometime in October, there would have to be interest, prints would most likely be 11x17, and cost would be determined at a later date.

Brilliant art work Katherine and best of luck. Now if you don't mind telling my wife that you can't have enough Sports cars or Guitars please.
