Some of guitars in the back of the two white ones appear to be Monty Brown which would put the photo at a couple of years old.

Personally I think Montezuma Brown should be a standard color along side Fireglo.

A very beautiful finish that looks great on Rickenbackers.

Keep in mind that MSRP is 5,260 bucks for these Japanese C's. Lotsa vintage Ricks selling for less than that. The 310MB is cute though. Still, it doesn't quite get the tobacco flavor of say V85 or the Kim Sisters 310. If I held the joystick, all 'C' models would be available in all historic Rickenbacker vintage colors. (So I guess that would eliminate JetGlo from the lineup pre-64.)

What is the difference bewtween all the 4001 reissues and the 1999RM? Is there that much of a difference that warrants the price?

Price not an issue with me(especially because the 1999rm is unavailable to us), but I'm not sure of the difference either. Would love to know.

Special order and limited edition would be enough to raise the price I guess.

I must admit that I have not read through this whole thread. Is it true that original new Rickenbacker models have been released? If this is true: why are these models not announced on the Rickenbacker website? Why are these models only available in Japan?
