4005 differences

Well, not actually 4005 differences. But some differences between 2 4005's.

We (Chris P, loves4003 and I) had sort of a Dutch mini confluence today as you can see here:



And we noticed some differences between ChrisP's 4005 and my 4005. Especially the heel of the neck and where the fretboard ends in relation to the body.

Another peculiar thing is stringlength. When keeping both basses next to eachother with both nuts at the same height Chris's bass had the bridge a lot lower than my 4005 has.

If memory serves me right it is a Rick bridge with a different base plate. I still should be in the same position I think, Shouldnt it?

Yep, it's a Ric bridge (without the chrome cover which Berth's has) on a newer brass plate. Mine has some issues.

The saddles on that bridge are not original or Rick-O-Like at all, those certainly have been changed out, also. Nor are the adjustment screws and nuts, they too, are different looking.

My '67 4005WB has a neck heel similar to the MG WB in your photo, but maybe just a tiny bit shorter, with the fingerboard is cut flush to the inner edge of the binding.
