More 60's Stuff: "Itchycoo Park"

Post by lyle_from_minneapolis »

I've been doing a lot of fun collaborations on old 60's songs lately. Here's "Itchycoo Park" by The Small Faces.

Norm Peterson - Piano, Organ
Tony Reynolds - Bass
Robert Siekawitch - Guitar
Greg Bertinelli - Drums, Backing vocal
Mike Rose - Backing vocal
Mark Kaufman - Lead vocal

Hi Mark,

In my opinion....... best one yet! You have a good early Rod Stewart voice on it and the heavy flanging makes it sound so much like the original. Very cool.

Keep 'em coming. How 'bout "Open my eyes" by Nazz. It's a bit obscure, but I can hear you doing that one. Or maybe the other Small Faces chart hit "Tin Soldier".

Thanks guys! I have all sorts of assignments for covers now...need more time for originals...but next up looks to be The Beatles' "Because". I'm scared...can't fake anything with production on THAT one...

Yes it is.

I saw Steve Marriot with Humble Pie in '71. My first real rock concert. :D Glass Harp opened for them, my first time seeing Phil play.

Sweet! Great job on those vocs! And you (or whoever did the production) nailed the psychedelia, too.

Were there any Ricks on this song?

Thanks Mark. Greg Bertinelli produced this one, and, sadly, no Ricks.
