New avatar.

Post by cassius987 »

My wife took some pics of me at Cheesman Park (right by our apartment) with the 4003FL, hoping to generate some business cards or album cover ideas with the pics... This one is one of my favorites and I converted one version of it into my new avatar.

Cropped version:

I really like the lighting. What do you guys and gals think?

Here is another nice one:

The lighting worked just fine in this case, but many times I see faces half in shadow with this kind of spotty sunlight., which doesn't look good. You wife did you proud Joshua! Bruce Barnbaum calls this lighting, especially in landscape photography in the woods, visual pizza.

Yeah, those look fine. As long as the face isn't spotty I can hang. But a smile would make it even nicer. :)

Then I love visual pizza! Haha... We tried to find a patch where there was complete lighting in the midst of it and I think we succeeded, at least in some of the shots.

Thanks... but I'm quite awful at smiling for photos! I don't know why. It literally... sometimes I just can't. She has to jangle keys or tell me jokes to make me crack a smile.

Very autumnal indeed... now where's that wicker man?? We gotta get the crops going for next year!  Sorry, I'm obsessed with that movie. (The ORIGINAL, thank you.) The jacket is a lucky thrift store find at the local "Buffalo Exchange". If Megan gets angry at me all I have to do is put it on and she calms down... :D

Re: flip flops... good point indeed Joey! They just never look as hip as you think they are when you put them on, now do they?
