Re: Snow
Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, Canary Islands this morning ...

And no cheating going on either; the thermometer had been standing in the shade for a true temperature reading. However the time on the clock is wrong by exactly one hour. It's remote controlled and it seems the nearest transmitter (probably on the African mainland) is an hour ahead of our time zone (same as GMT/London/Lisbon etc.)

Re: Snow
The skies here have been a miserable grey since Friday. Right now, it's 64 and raining. A few days ago it was sunny with the temps in the high 80s, low 90s.

Re: Snow
I'm at about 150m (492 feet) above sea level. I can reach around 2600m (8530 feet / 1.6 miles) with about a 50 minutes drive. We'll have snow up there in winter too. But down here it rarely drops below 20 °C during the day.wayang wrote:Yes, we have snow here...but then we're a mile higher than most of y'all....or in my case, slightly more than a mile...

Re: Snow
10F last night, a bit more snow today, but it's been getting up to 30 or so in the daytime so with a bit of sun, the snow's mostly melted. Man am I glad this nice cool weather is back!

Re: Snow
It has been quite cool at our lake property also but we are at 3000 ft above sea level or there abouts. It's supposed to snow lightly (turning to rain) up here in the mountains on Tuesday. I will be back home in the Okanagan by then though where it's supposed to be 19C by next Friday again.
