I normally don't dig Wals much but that is really, really hot. Nice. I hope it sounds as good as it looks.

[quote[I hope it doesn't come to a complete clearinghouse but, as I've said, there are more important things in life and I can sound like just as much of a hack on any bass I play. The last "toy" I'll part with is my GN but even that isn't completely safe when it comes to what I'll part with in a scramble to raise some cash to make this all work out.

Thats why I'm trying to move my DCM. A piece of land that my wife and I have been admiring for some 20+ years has made itself available recently. These things dont make themselves available like cars and guitars do.

I wish you luck Brian.

Well, it's here. I gotta say that it looks like it is brand new. Not a blemish to be found. It sounds fantastic but the action needs a little tweaking and a set of Chromes would help the feel a bit. I'm going to hold off on the strings until I see what's going on with our homestead shenanigans and I'll give it a few days to acclimate before I start making adjustments. Here are a few quick pics.......not a bad family.

I'm the worst person to ask that type of question. My ham hands only know if it feels good to me.....and it does. I'd call it a shallow C shape relatively even in depth the whole length of the board. You can check it out for yourself once I get it tweaked up (assuming I still have it).

Man. I'd sure be proud to own that Wal, but it's way out of my price range these days. I sure hope you can manage to hang on to it!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

You are well aware that I also have a thing for black.

I got an email from the original owner of my new Wal today. He said it's never been out of his house and has been played less than 20 times. That explains the condition.

brian,i was going to comment about the woodie trio, too. 3 great looking basses, there! i am in the same boat,i keep looking at my 2 ricks and thinking about the standstill with my ongoing house renovation, but i would have to sell 'em both just to pay for the new kitchen appliances/or cabinets/or countertops---i'm trying to hold out!

Which, actually, isn't that bad. We had a horse shipped up from Missouri and it was a lot less than you'd think, it mostly depends on working into the schedule of the commercial shipper's route...
