Hmm, yeah...I am the 2nd owner of this guitar. A childhood friend bought it back in 1987 or 1998-ish.
The serial number is F0 8721 = June 1987. I don't believe he had money for a custom.
What is it then?

Not really a custom, as RIC doesn't do customs per se, but desirable for the front and back binding, nonetheless.

It's a 360-12WB in fireglo.

isn't it a 360/12 WBW?
plus the 360/12 has rounded top...this one is flat, plus slash is bound, without checkerboard
i've never truly been able to peg it...

I doubt it's a B-series guitar...they're pretty rare and would have come with toaster pickups. Here's a shot of the 360WB from the 1991 catalog:

It's a 360/12WB. I've never heard of the WBW suffix.

I saw this ad and thought I'd resurrect this old thread:

320B or modded 320?

According to the poster earlier in this thread, the 320B had an "R" tailpiece. The guitar in question is also lacking the small tone knob (also correct for a "B"). The knobs look like they've been changed, but aside from that it looks pretty much like a 320B.
