660/6 owners

Post by scottpro1969 »

I've got a new 660/6 Jetglo being delivered Wednesday. "The Waiting, is the hardest part." I traded my 4004 to Chris @ POTR for the one he had in stock so I'm stoked. I'm mostly a bass player but have coveted a 660 for a long time.

I'm really looking forward to the wider neck as I have had trouble in the past playing the 360V64 and 350 that I owned (got some fat fingers). Let's see some of your 660/6's to hold me over 'til Wednesday!

Your Jetglo 660 won't have any of these pesky "flames":
660 MG 08
660 MG 08
660 MG 08 Back
660 MG 08 Back

Imagine working somewhere where you see that kind of thing leaving the factory every day. It would make you feel good wouldn't it? :D

I used to have an anniversary 660. Great guitar but I realized I like the hollowbody Ricks better, primarily due to their bigger bodies. You will like the neck on your 660. :D

Gorgeous finishes guys, lovin' 'em!

I'm actually looking forward to the Jetglo. I think I might put black guards on there. Not such a fan of the gold. I'd like to find a black trc too. Guess I'll have to check out Pickguardian.

Got my 660 and it is simply amazing....I can't say enough great things about the neck. Since I've had problems with the 360 and 350 necks being too thin, I was soooo hopeful that this neck would be the ticket, and it is!!! Simply effortless to play. It's all that I hoped it would be. Plug her in...pure Rick tone and magic :D

The truss rod cover has an outward bow though, which is weird. It doesn't fit, obviously. I'll take pics tomorrow (today). Anyone else had that issue or is it just an anomaly.....freaking love the guitar though!

Hey Scott,
Good thing you pulled the trigger.... I was thinking about that 660 at POTR.
I was talking to Chris this week and he told me it sold last week! Enjoy.
Going to the Philly Guitar Show on NOV 7th and I'll see Chris. I'll tell him you hated it and used it as fire wood. :D
John

Anybody else going to the Philly Show?? :?:

Lol...yep. Good timing on my part. I have to put it down long enough to polish her up and take some pics.

I am primarily a bass player. But when I have 6 string work to record, my workhorse is my 660/6 in Amberfireglo. I LOVE it!
