Rare Rickenbacker 12 String
There's a guitar dealer in the UK selling a 1967 double-bound jetglo Ricky 360 12-string for £8,500 !! The ad states that its 1 of only 6 made. Does anyone know if this guitar is really that rare ?
Here's the page from the dealer's site: http://www.vintageandrareguitars.co.uk/index.cfm?method=site.product&product_id=400

Here is a photo, however, I find it difficult to believe that only 6 were made from 1963 to 1967, during a time when the Rickenbacker 12 string was a highly sought after instrument.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Agreed Mortivan. A tiny window into the look of Rickenbacker instruments in 1967.

When I first got my '62 625 (in 1990), I contacted Rick for some more information. Due to some misidentification, things are a little confusing as to the model to which these numbers refer (425?), but according to my notes at the time from a conversation with Rick customer service, there were 89 made in Fireglo and 4 in Jetglo. The Smith book reports 9 '62 625's in Jetglo and 89 in Fireglo. Mine was originally Jetglo; maybe I shouldn't be refinishing it in Fireglo, eh?

You want to put that where?
