The pics a little blurred and while the pickguard and body shape look somewhat familar, the neck inlays etc are definitely not authentic.
Ooh, good spot.

Without asking Paul (our lead singer, who you're talking about there) I know he's had it a few years. The brand is Italia, and he picked it up from a Sound Control store (a well known chain) here in the Uk, rather than an auction or anything.

I have a close up picture of it on my computer at home, if you're interested.

Tom, also weilding a guitar here, really wants a Ric. He had his nose pressed against a guitar shop window looking at a six string just the other weekend. But he doesn't see it happening any time soon.

Thanks to you all for making me feel so welcome. I think my wife took some pictures of me playing at home that might show my Ric better, should I post one tonight?

Heh, okay...

Here is a picture of me playing the Ric the other day at home (not very flattering of me, but the bass looks good, I got my hair chopped between this and the gig.)

Here is the Ric up close... because I know there is some interest in these things. By the way, what do people look for in woodgrain?

And here is a better shot of my bandmate's Italia for your perusal and, perhaps, disapproval:

Actually, I can see the practicality in that headstock design - makes it easier to reach your G B and E strings. Very unique!

The funny part about this is down the line when he changes it someone will wonder why it scares the living **** out of you! Of course he could still have something un-nerving there again.

This looks a LOT like my late grandmother. She cooked breakfast for us, gave me a scarf at Christmas to keep my neck warm, terrorized me when she thought I was masturbating, and taught me how to effectively stab a man in the heart. I think she had a gov't job back in her day.

Much interest in these things! Very nice FG pattern and coloring.

As for wood grain, a nice grain pattern, a little interesting highlights, some flaming, a lot of flaming, birdseye along with interesting highlights and flaming, and all of the above, in ascending order. I've only seen one quilted Rick, and that belongs to the headmaster himself.

Guys, as well as not using profanity, please do not make a habit of posting with suggestive profanity using asterisks.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
