Re: R I P Les Paul
+1 on EVERYTHING said here.....he played right up until the end. If that could be said of all of us, we'd be very lucky indeed.winston wrote:Hmm. I am going to speculate that Les Paul was just adjusting his glasses in that pic................if anyone says otherwise the pic may have to be removed.
Re: R I P Les Paul
I got word of Les Paul's passing on the radio while drivin' around town yesterday. I was bummin'. But the man did live a full life. I played my Gibson Std. Les Paul + for a couple of hours last night in honor of this gentle soul.
I will not place you in the attic of my memory, Mr. Paul. I will not forget you.

Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

Been listening and reading tributes to Les. The man was indeed a force! All thru his life just an interesting guy!! After his stroke recovery, arthritis essentially limited him to just a couple of fingers on his left hand. So he figured out how to do what he did with what he had… mind over matter….
